Dr. Michael Ryan recognized by The Healing NET Foundation
Charlotte Gastro’s Dr. Michael Ryan received a special letter of recognition on February 28, 2015 from The Healing NET Foundation. This national 501(c)3 non-profit organization is dedicated to educating physicians and other clinical care professionals about NETS, which is an acronym for neuroendocrine tumors. Neuroendocrine cancer can be one of the most easily treated cancers. However, it causes many unusual symptoms and is therefore commonly misdiagnosed.
Dr. Ryan was recognized by The Healing NET Foundation as “someone who provides extraordinary care for carcinoid and neuroendocrine cancer patients” after one of his patients submitted the following statement:
