What Is Endoscopy?
Endoscopy is a procedure that uses an instrument called an endoscope
to directly examine the patient’s digestive system. The endoscope
can also take biopsies or samples. Endoscopy can also be used to
perform certain procedures such as controlling gastrointestinal
bleeding and removal of polyps and other growths.
