Prior to physician assistant school, Monica worked in multiple health specialties which included being a lab technologist, EMT, and nurse assistant. It was her heart for helping people and love of science that ultimately paved the way to becoming a physician assistant.
Monica is originally from Providence, Rhode Island but now resides in Matthews with her husband and two boys. In her free time, Monica enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, Bible study, attending local music venues/festivals, and spending time with family. She also enjoys ACC basketball as an UNC Tarheels fan and pulls for the New England Patriots in football.
