Charlotte Gastro welcomes Dr. Cheruvu
We are excited to announce the addition of Srinivas Cheruvu, MD, MSPH to the Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology-Matthews physician team. He brings six years of gastroenterology and hepatology experience from a previous practice.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Dr. Cheruvu earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and his fellowship at The Brooklyn Hospital Center Affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell. He is board certified in gastroenterology.
Dr. Cheruvu feels that practicing medicine is truly an honor and a privilege. He’s humbled by the trust his patients instill in him and is pleased to be in a position to help. In addition to his interest in the physiology of the GI system, Dr. Cheruvu enjoys the opportunity this specialty offers by not only diagnosing diseases, but actually being able to intervene as well.
As an alumnus of UNC, Dr. Cheruvu is a big fan of the Tarheels. Outside of the office, he’s a member of a book club and enjoys running, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and their two daughters.
