Happy 18th Anniversary, CGH!
Eighteen years ago today, seven physicians joined forces to merge two GI groups to begin CGH. April Fool’s Day may seem like an odd day to start a business, however, this venture was no April fool’s joke!
Doctors Gavigan, Moore, Kokenes, Toussaint and other founding physicians worked diligently in the early years to make the group a success. Although some of our founding physicians moved on to retirement and other careers, we continued to recruit the best of the best to make CGH one of the largest and most successful groups in the southeast. We have grown rapidly from one small office in 1998 to 5 regional offices and 4 endoscopy centers. In 2004, we began adding nurse practitioners and PAs to round out our healthcare team. On March 1, we welcomed Dr. Devi Thangavelu to our lake group making us a 26 GI provider group. Our 26 providers are all known for providing compassionate, quality care throughout the region.
We are extremely proud of our qualified staff. Without their support, none of our success would have been possible. Thank you to a great team who works extremely hard each and every day to make CGH a continued success!
