Each year, Charlotte Gastro is a premier sponsor for the Get Your Rear in Gear untimed walk or run held in Charlotte. All profits through GYRIG are used in our local community to further advance and push through the adversity of colon cancer, specifically in Charlotte. The funds raised provide patient support by reducing the financial burden of colorectal cancer for patients, removing barriers for underinsured people, education/awareness for colorectal cancer, and research to help fight and end colorectal cancer.

In 2023, Charlotte Gastro had the largest team to date of over 120+ participants. Megan K, our Infusion RN Manager, placed in her age group and Dr. Mohanty spoke about colon cancer awareness.
