Infusion therapy is when medication or nutrients are delivered directly into your bloodstream through an IV. What to Expect

Before the Procedure

Wear comfortable clothing with a shirt or loose sweater that allows easy access to your arm.

Bring your insurance card, photo ID, and a list of current medications.

4.

If your medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, arrange for an adult driver. Our team will advise you in advance.

During and After the Procedure

When you arrive, you’ll check in and be led to our dedicated infusion area where you can make yourself comfortable. Depending on your medication, our infusion nurse may administer a pre-treatment before your infusion begins. The nurse will place your IV and your medication or nutrients will be delivered — this can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on your treatment. After treatment is complete, you’ll stay for a short observation period to ensure there are no side effects. Once cleared, you’re free to go home.
